Look at the pictures below. Identify and describe the different ways of communicating with others.

 1. Visual Communication - the use of visual aids for information dissemination, in this case, the news report from the television

2. Verbal / Face-to-face communication - the teacher relays information to her students

3. Verbal communication & Non-verbal Communication - the girl is telling something to the girl with matching gestures to help relay the information

4. Non-verbal communication - the girl is crying, thus using facial expressions to communicate what she is feeling at the moment

5. Non-verbal communication - the three girls were using gestures and body movement to convey their messages to each other.

  Which   of   the   types   of   speech   context   do   you   find   easy   and   difficult   to   practice? What should you do to improve your   skills? Personally, I find intrapersonal communication easier to practice than interpersonal communication. To fully justify my opinion, let us first define the two. Intrapersonal communication as communication with one's self. Examples are self-talk, acts of visualization, and imagination. They are part of an interdependent system or process. If one goes missing, the whole communication process will not take place. 2. Can the process of communication be completed even without the presence of a single element of communication? Why or why not?
